One key receiver for the Green Bay Packers is expected to be ready to play in the big game with the Vikings on Sunday while another is still questionable.
The Associated Press reports that 5th year veteran Jordy Nelson is probable after missing the past three games because of a hamstring injury that happened in the Packers’ home win over Minnesota earlier this month. Nelson went through a full week of practice this week.
But Nelson’s fellow receiver Randall Cobb is questionable for Sunday. The second year player suffered ankle and knee injuries in Green Bay’s win over Tennessee last week. Cobb leads the Packers in catches (80) and receiving yards (954), and has eight touchdown receptions.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said his team wants a victory on Sunday. “Our guys are ready,” he said. “We’re focused on beating the Vikings and sweeping the division.”
