President Barack Obama will soon be looking for a new job. Perhaps he can suit up as an undersized wing defender for the defensively challenged Timberwolves?
The Wolves visited The White House earlier this week – they had a few days off before playing Friday night against the Wizards – and while there, the President apparently told them they need to D up.
“He said we’ve got to play better defense,” Ricky Rubio said, according to the Star Tribune.
“Yeah,” head coach Tom Thibodeau said after Friday’s shoot around, via Wolves Radio, “it was a presidential order.”
“He knows everything about the NBA,” Thibodeau added. “He is a big basketball fan. I thought he had our team down pretty accurately.”
