All you Joe Webb-heads out there: He’s not going to start Sunday against the Bears.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier again told the media today that he has no intention of benching Christian Ponder, despite the second-year quarterback’s miserable game at Lambeau Field Sunday.
“We believe Christian is our number one,” Frazier said. “And I still feel that way.”

Ponder, who had a measly 36 yards passing deep into the fourth quarter, also threw two game-killing interceptions in the second half, allowing the Packers to rally for a 23-14 win over the Vikings.
As for Webb, Frazier said the backup is a “quality quarterback” that could help the team if the need arises, but it doesn’t make sense right now to give Ponder a clipboard and watch Webb play.
As Frazier put it: “What he would learn from Joe?”
