Maybe Mike Zimmer was right when he said Monday that nobody believes the Vikings can beat the Saints in Sunday’s playoff game.
“Well I mean each team is a little bit different. I don’t think anybody believes that we can win this game, so we go in there and we slug it out. All I really care about is that 53 guys believe,” said Zimmer.
The best example, perhaps, is an NFL video that hypes the postseason by featuring teams that will battle in the NFC and AFC. The video, which is 60 seconds long, features all but two teams: the Vikings and Eagles.

Someone on Twitter broke down the video by how many seconds (approximately) each team is featured. It goes as follows:
- 49ers – 7 (seconds)
- Saints – 7
- Ravens – 7
- Seahawks – 5
- Chiefs – 5
- Patriots – 4
- Packers – 3
- Texans – 3
- Titans – 1
- Bills – 0.5
- Eagles – 0
- Vikings – 0
Asked why he doesn’t think anyone believes the Vikings can win, Zimmer made mention of Minnesota’s exclusion in the video.
“We’re 8-point underdogs, we’re going on the road, they just had an NFL video of all the playoff teams except us. We just go from there,” Zimmer said.
It’s true. The Vikings are 8-point underdogs to the Saints, far and away the biggest spread among the four playoff games on wild-card weekend.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 12:05 p.m. inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
