With picks 23 and 25 in the first-round of Thursday’s NFL Draft, fans are getting anxious to find out what the Minnesota Vikings decided to do.
Will Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o be one of the selections? If he is, will he be the right pick and the right fit?
NFL Network’s Mike Mayock told KFAN-100.3 FM on Monday that he “heavily” endorses Te’o and thinks he would be a great fit in the Vikings’ locker room. That’s high praise from one of the most respected NFL Draft gurus in the business.
Barry Wilner of Yahoo! Sports has the Vikings taking Te’o with the 23rd overall selection.
Wide receiver is a position of need the Vikings will address during the draft. Ben Goessling of the Pioneer Press writes that picking a receiver in the first-round might not happen because there isn’t a Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald type in the 2013 class.
