It had been 10 years minus one day since the Detroit Lions won on Thanksgiving, and they picked a good time to find a W on turkey day.

This week, there were only two games within the division, as Detroit hosted Green Bay and the Purple took down the Bears at Metrodome.

DETROIT 40, GREEN BAY 10: Without Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay remains winless.
Safe to say this week was a new low for the Packers this season, as they were run out of Detroit by Matt Stafford and Co. after managing just 10 points and getting outscored 37-0 after leading 10-3.
Stafford threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns, one of those to Calvin Johnson who posted 101 receiving yards, while Reggie Bush and Joique Bell combined for 211 yards rushing.
Green Bay was outgained 561-126, while having the ball less than 20 of the 60 minutes, and starter Matt Flynn had little success after performing well in relief of Scott Tolzien last weekend against Minnesota.
The only bright news for Green Bay is that Rodgers practiced last week for the first time since breaking his collarbone Nov. 4. That news though, is counteracted by Sunday’s report that Rodgers may sit the rest of the season.
It’s a mess in Green Bay, but in Detroit, the Lions haven’t looked as likely to win a division title this late in a season in quite some time. For the record, their last division crown was 20 years ago.
So after Detroit’s win and the Vikings’ not-so-upset of the Bears, here are your standings.
DETROIT: 7-5
CHICAGO: 6-6
GREEN BAY: 5-6-1
MINNESOTA: 3-8-1
We will have to find a safe place, because the world could very well collapse in on itself if the Lions win the division.
Of course, in a division this bad, Eden Prairie may have a shot to finish with a respectable record.
