We’ve already found a couple of way-too-early NFL power rankings for next season, and as expected the Minnesota Vikings are getting some early love.
Sporting News ranked the Vikings at No. 8.
“With a round of (painful) playoff experience, the Vikings are in good shape to get that far, or farther. Teddy Bridgewater will be a year better, and so will Stefon Diggs at wide receiver. Adrian Peterson, presumably, won’t be a year worse. Their division will be tougher, though.”
ESPN ranked the Vikings 10th.
“Rick Spielman’s exceptional work in the draft makes the Vikings not only a good team, but one capable of moving up this ranking as good young players turn into really good veteran players … on both sides of the ball. Teddy Bridegwater won’t even be 24 until the midway point of the 2016 season — where he’ll be throwing indoors at home — and Adrian Peterson isn’t showing his age just yet. This is a sneaky-loaded roster.”
Despite the Vikings beating the Packers in Green Bay to win the division they still are ranked ahead of their nemesis. Green Bay is ranked seventh by both outlets.
