The Minnesota Wild have forgotten how to lose and on Tuesday night they extended their franchise record winning streak to 11 games with a 3-2 overtime road win over the Nashville Predators.
Jared Spurgeon scored the winning goal after taking a pass from a streaking Jordan Schroeder, who was just called up over the weekend.
The Wild can push the streak to 12 at home Thursday against the New York Islanders. If they win that and the Blue Jackets win on Thursday, Saturday’s game in St. Paul would feature the Wild on a 12-game win streak against the Blue Jackets on a 14-game win streak.
Columbus beat Boston 4-3 Tuesday night.
