Trailing 2-1 in the seventh inning, the Twins loaded the bases against the Tigers and then the most unlikely man in the lineup delivered a huge grand slam.
Ehire Adrianza, the starting shortstop who had just two home runs on the season, hit a line drive grand slam just over the wall in right field to give the Twins a 5-2 leads.

The grand slam produced more offense in one at-bat than Adrianza had pretty much done in full months this season. He had zero homers and one RBI in April, one homer and six RBI in May, and so far in June he’s up to two homers and seven RBI.
Adrianza was greeted by an ecstatic Twins dugout, especially Jose Berrios, who was jumping up and done like he’d just won the Powerball.
Grand slam for Ehire Adrianza!! He gets a nice reception in the dugout… especially from @JOLaMaKina …just wait for it! 👍🏼😂😂 pic.twitter.com/tZ9U5dlzvX

Sadly, Adrianza had a throwing error to start the eighth inning and it helped the Tigers score twice to cut the deficit to 5-4 but the Twins held on for a 6-4 win.
