Don’t tell Justin Morneau’s dad that his son’s best days of baseball are long gone.
Wait. Somebody already did? Uh oh. Here we go …
The Pioneer Press brought up the thought, and 65-year-old George Morneau responded:
“That’s a bunch of baloney. I know my son, and he’s working hard to prove a lot of people wrong.”
Even if Morneau does return to something near his 2006 MVP form, there’s a pretty good chance it’ll happen for another team.
Morneau could be traded before Wednesday’s 3:00 p.m. CT non-waiver deadline.
