The Minnesota Wild fell to the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 in overtime Monday night in Denver.
1. Mitchell wins it in OT
After the Wild sent the game into overtime, Colorado won it on a goal from John Mitchell – his sixth of the season. He was assisted by Matt Duchene and Tyson Barrie on the goal.

2. Pominville sparks the Wild offense
It maybe didn’t show up in the stats, but Jason Pominville put together a big game for the Wild. He helped start Minnesota’s scoring chances and even picked up an assist on the first Wild goal.

Zach Parise scored his eighth goal of the season to pull Minnesota even.
3. Kuemper keeps the Wild in it
Darcy Kuemper played well enough to keep the Wild in the game, but Minnesota didn’t score enough to help him win it. Kuemper stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced.

There is no word how long Devan Dubnyk will be out with his strained groin.
