Twins slugger Miguel Sano was suspended one game by the MLB for his incident on Saturday with the Detroit Tigers.
During the fifth inning on Saturday, Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd threw behind Sano and when catcher James McCann stepped in his way, the big bopper didn’t take it well.

Both Sano and Boyd were ejected for their actions.
On Monday the Twins announced they will appeal the suspension on behalf of Sano, who is still allowed to play in games during the appeal process.
“We feel the proper response is to appeal,” Manager Paul Molitor said. “We feel we have a fairly legitimate case as to why they should at least consider reducing that.”
Boyd will not face suspension but was fined by the league.
