Matt Birk has done it all. To his name are eight kids, six Pro Bowl appearances with the Vikings and one Super Bowl ring with the Baltimore Ravens.
Oh, and he went to Harvard.
But did you know that all that brain and brawn translates to comedy for the St. Paul native?
Birk, in addition to serving as a public speaker all around Minnesota, has been testing his mettle as a stand-up comic, and his next performance will bring a bunch of former Vikings players and local celebrities to the “Matt Birk Do Good Comedy Show” on Jan. 19.
General admission tickets are $40 and VIP seats cost $100. Buy them here, but do know they are limited with a capacity of just 200.
The show is scheduled to begin at Union 32 Craft House in Eagan at 7:30 p.m. that Saturday, and will include stand-up performances from Birk, Pete Borchers, Tim Bedore and KFAN radio’s Paul “Meat Sauce” Lambert.
Former Vikings players Chad Greenway, Jim Kleinsasser, Chuck Foreman, Brooks Bollinger and Chris Liwienski are also scheduled to attend.
VIP tickets come with a tour of the Vikings Museum with one of the former Vikings listed above, in addition to a football for autographs, a drink ticket, a goodie bag and access to an appetizer bar.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, After The Impact Fund and the Minnesota Vikings Foundation.
