Believe it or not, the Wild believe they can become the fifth team in NHL history to win a best-of-seven series after losing the first three games.
Minnesota’s mentality going into Game 4: One shift, one period and one game at a time. That’s exactly what they did in a 2-0 win to survive Game 4 in St. Louis Wednesday night. Now it’s every shift of Game 5 back in St. Paul on Saturday.
“It was do or die,” said Martin Hanzal, via Wild.com. “I think everybody believed, before the game, in this room. And we were trying to play as hard as we could, and we did it. We’ve got to go shift by shift, game by game.”
“We have to do the same thing on Saturday, because everybody in this room still believes we can do it,” Hanzal added. “I believe too, and if we play like this the rest of the series, we’re going to do it.”
St. Louis didn’t play it’s best in Game 4. In fact, Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo thought they played a “casual” first period, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

The Wild better be ready to see the Blues come out with their foot on the gas as soon as the puck drops Saturday.
