The Wolves seemed destined for victory late Sunday night against the Clippers, but LA was able to get to overtime and steal the win from Minnesota 120-116 from Staples Center.
Up five with 30 seconds left, the Clippers stormed back, outscoring the Wolves 6-1 in the final half-minute, including a layup with seven seconds left off a Kevin Martin turnover.
With the score tied at 106, the two teams went to an extra session, and Chris Paul, after being held to 10 points in regulation, put up nine points in overtime to seal victory for the Clippers.
Kevin Love had a monstrous 45 points and 19 rebounds, and Nikola Pekovic added 34 and 14 of his own, but the rest of the Wolves shot just 14-of-45 from the field in defeat.
Blake Griffin led Los Angeles with 32 points despite fouling out early in overtime, and Paul added 19 points and 13 assists to send Minnesota to their second LA loss in 48 hours.
The Wolves have a holiday break and will return to the hardwood Friday at Target Center against the Wizards.
