As the U.S. Men’s National Team prepared to play Guyana at the home of the Loons, Darwin Quintero was leading Minnesota United on a rip-roaring 3-2 comeback in Houston.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time in the round of 16 tie against the Houston Dynamo, a brace from Quintero and a last-gasp winner from Mason Toye gave the Loons a victory that seemed unlikely 30 minutes earlier.
Quintero pulled one back for the Loons in the 66th minute after a neat passing move, before leveling with this blorter from 30 yards in the 82nd minute.

United were in the ascendancy and looking to kill off the Dynamo, and they did in the 90th minute courtesy of another slick move, this time finished off by Toye.

The win puts the Loons in the quarter-finals of the cup, where they will face the winners of the Wednesday tie between FC Dallas and New Mexico United.
