Carlos Correa’s signature moment as a member of the Minnesota Twins came Tuesday night when he launched a game-winning homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Twins a 7-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
While most have seen the call by Dick Bremer on Bally Sports North, fewer have heard radio announcer Corey Provus’s highlight.
A blast to left field, back it goes, deep it goes, Twins win! Twins win! The Minnesota Twins win it!” Provus exclaimed. “Carlos Correa off the ribbon board in left field. A game-ending, a game-winning, two-run homer and the Twins walk-off Milwaukee 7-5 here at Target Field!”

Correa, despite battling plantar fasciitis in his left heel, is getting hot at the plate after a subpar two-plus months to start the season. Over his last five games he is slashing .333/.391/.857 with three homers and eight RBIs. The only player in the big leagues with more RBIs since June 8 is Baltimore’s Gunnar Henderson (10).
Correa has been especially hot the last three games, coming through with an eighth-inning grand slam Saturday against Toronto, a pair of doubles Sunday and then the walk-off homer to beat the Brewers.
