Francisco Liriano lost a lot of money by breaking his arm while trying to scare his kids this winter.
But every cloud has its silver lining, and Liriano found that out once again, winning the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award late last night.
Liriano, who returned to the field May 11 from the injury, went on to win 16 games, helping Pittsburgh break a 21-year streak of losing seasons and make the playoffs.
