The Detroit Lions believe members of the Vikings’ defense were headhunting on Sunday. Lions coach Jim Schwartz was upset with with two tackles on Calvin Johnson. “They hit him in the head twice,” he said. “Only one got flagged.”
Johnson, who caught 12 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown, didn’t think the Vikings were purposely targeting his head.
Meanwhile, Lions defensive back Chris Houston is accusing a Vikings’ lineman of purposely falling on his ankle and forcing him to leave the game. Houston was injured on Adrian Peterson’s 61 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, although he isn’t sure which lineman landed on him.
