The Minnesota Twins began their road trip on a sour note with a 5-3 loss to the New York Yankees on Friday night.

Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki had another multi hit game, going 2-4. Suzuki is hitting .364 in the month of June, raising his average to .272 on the season.
The Twins led on two separate occasions but weren’t able to hold on. The Yankees led 4-3 heading into the 8th inning with former Twin Aaron Hicks getting the last laugh with a home run in the 8th.
With the loss the Twins are 23-50. Game 2 of the series is set for Saturday afternoon at 12:05
