NEW YORK — Carmelo Anthony scored 12 points in the final two minutes — and 19 in the fourth quarter — to lift the New York Knicks to a 94-91 win over the Timberwolves Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
Anthony finished the game with 33 points, with New York’s J.R. Smith adding 19 off the bench.
Nikola Pekovic had a double-double for Minnesota, scoring 21 points and collecting 17 rebounds.
Alexy Shved added 18 points for the Wolves, who played without Kevin Love.
Love didn’t make the road trip to Madison Square Garden because of an eye injury he suffered in Thursday’s win over Oklahoma City.
Ricky Rubio, who remains on an 18-minute limit following knee surgery, scored five points off the bench, with two assists.
