After a rough start through the first four weeks of the season, Cousins turned things around in October by passing for 10 touchdowns while completing 91 of 116 attempts (78.4%) for 1,261 yards.
Cousins’ passing rating in October was a stunning 137.1.
How hot is Cousins? He’s so hot that actor/comedian David Spade acknowledged him on social media after catching wind of a “Kirk Dirt” t-shirt, which is a mullet-laden reference to Spade’s 2001 movie “Joe Dirt.”

Granted, Cousins and the Vikings went 4-0 in October with wins over the Eagles, Giants, Lions and Washington, none of whom have looked like true contenders. Cousins and the Vikings will now be tested with back-to-back road games against the Chiefs and Cowboys, in addition to late-season games against the Seahawks, Packers and Bears.
“The work is all out in front of us, and these are some tough games. Road games against really good football teams. The challenge is on us to prove that we belong,” Cousins said Wednesday, via the Vikings.
“We said it last year as well, that if we didn’t get the job done, we didn’t belong. We didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs. We’ve got a chance here with these last eight games to prove that we belong in the conversation at the end.”
