Kirk Cousins can dissect a defense with the best of them, but he couldn’t find a way to a parking spot in his first drive to the Minnesota State Fair on Saturday.
Cousins tweeted: “Raincheck on Minnesota State Fair…parking was a challenge.. Hoping later this week I can try a #FriedTwinkie for the first time.”

Cousins lives in the Rosemount area, so his journey to the State Fair was probably an easy drive until he reached the red zone, aka anywhere within a mile or two of the fair’s parking lots.
More than 122,000 people went to the fair on opening day (a record), and it was a hellish experience for thousands of people who tried to get the fair via personal and public transportation.
Friday was rainy so fewer people went, and per usual the first Saturday was extremely busy.
A little pro tip for Cousins when he tries to go again next week: check the State Fair Twitter account to see which lots are open and closed.
