Don’t overreact just yet, but all those moves before the trade deadline didn’t help the Wild on Tuesday night as they were embarrassed at home by the Kings. The 4-0 shutout was a bit of a surprise, considering Los Angeles is the only team in the NHL with fewer goals scored than the Wild.
The Kings managed only 15 shots on goal — eight in the first period, five in the second and two in the third, but Niklas Backstrom was only able to stop 11 of them.
