After dropping out of school and taking a leave from the football team because of a personal matter this spring, wide receiver Andre McDonald could return to the Gophers in August.
Head coach Jerry Kill is “cautiously optimistic” that McDonald will rejoin the team on August 1.
“I’m not going to tell everybody his situation,” Kill said of McDonald to the Pioneer Press. “But I will tell you that Andre is in summer school right now working out.”
McDonald caught 10 passes for 121 yard in eight games last season.
