A day extending his stay with the Vikings by a year, Danielle Hunter is set to fully participate in Vikings training camp, according to head coach Kevin O’Connell.
“We are a better football team with Danielle Hunter,” said O’Connell in his first address to media since Hunter’s deal was signed.
“He will be a full participant in training camp from here on out.”

Hunter had been reporting to the first week of Vikings training camp but not participating in practices, what is now known as a “hold in,” in an attempt to get a new deal with the Vikings.
It worked when Hunter agreed to a one-year extension worth $20 million Sunday morning.
O’Connell noted Hunter would need to build up his reps as camp goes along.
