On Thursday when the Twins departed for a three-game series with the New York Mets all the Twins rookies had to participate in the team’s annual rookie dress-up day.
In a time-honored big league tradition, their veteran teammates chose outfits especially for 2016’s first-year players.
Most of the Twins’ rookies were dressed in yellow crash-test dummy suits.
Australian infielder James Beresford is in the kangaroo suit but it’s Byron Buxton and Max Kepler dressed as Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street that is the best thing about this picture.
Buxton and Kepler were in Bert and Ernie suits from Sesame Street. Buxton was Bert, even though Kepler is taller. BB: "Because of my hair."
