Joe Mauer hit a triple to drive in two runs in the 11th inning to give the Twins a 4-2 win over the Mariners Sunday in Seattle.
The Twins got on the board first with two runs in the first inning on a single by Trevor Plouffe and an RBI double by Mauer.
The Mariners tied it up in the fourth with two runs. The Mariners’ Seth Smith hit his first home run of the season.
The score remained 2-2 through regulation, and Mauer hit a two-run triple in the 11th that sealed the win.

Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson had his best game of the season. In just over seven innings, he gave up two runs on five hits, along with three strikeouts and three walks, MLB.com reports.
Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon was ejected in the fourth inning after visiting the mound to talk with the umpire.
The Twins won the series 2-1. Minnesota is now 8-10 overall. The Twins play Detriot next, starting a three-game home series at 7:10 p.m. Monday.
