Sunday could be a cork-popping kind of day for the Vikings.
If the Vikings can put the Bears on ice and get some help from teams around the league, the Vikings could clinch a playoff spot. According to ESPN, the Vikings need to win and have one of the following scenarios unfold.
- Redskins lose to tie to Buffalo and the Falcons lose or tie Jacksonville
- Redskins lose or tie to Buffalo and the Seahawks lose or tie Cleveland
- Giants lose or tie to Carolina and the Falcons lose or tie Jacksonville
- Giants and Seahawks both lose or tie
You can pretty much cross that second scenario off the list because Seattle is a 14-point favorite against Cleveland.
Based on the Las Vegas odds, scenario No. 3 is the most likely to happen as the Giants and Falcons are both underdogs in their games.
Clinching this weekend would secure a Wild Card spot, but the Vikings can still win the NFC North as long as they’re within one game of the Packers entering their Week 17 showdown at Lambeau Field.
