The hottest ticket in the Twin Cities this week might be for the WCHA Final Five at Xcel Energy Center.
Prime seats at center ice for Saturday’s title game are already going for about $200 on Stub Hub. Seats in the second level at center ice are going for about $100.
Next year, the WCHA undergoes a dramatic change, with eight teams headed to new conferences, the Star Tribune points out.
“People can’t find tickets,” said St. Cloud State coach Bob Motzko, whose Huskies earned a first round bye into the semifinals along with the Minnesota Gophers. “This could be a special weekend.”
It starts Thursday with Minnesota-Mankato against Wisconsin in the afternoon game, followed by Colorado College against North Dakota, with the winners headed to Friday’s semifinal round.
