The only aspect of the above forecast for Minneapolis on Sunday is the part about the wind not being very windy.

To help fans keep warm during the playoff game between the Vikings and Seahawks, doors to Mariucci Arena – across the street from TCF Bank Stadium – will be open for fans beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. How ironic that a hockey rink will serve as a warming house for fans.
Fans will also be greeted with hand warmers at the gates; the warmers will also be available in the Fan Zone outside the stadium, along with free coffee from Caribou.
“We know Minnesotans are resilient when it comes to cold weather and unified when it comes to the Vikings, so we view this Sunday’s game as a rallying moment,” Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf said in a statement. “At the same time, we want our fans to be smart and safe when they are supporting the team, and we are taking a few extra steps to assist in that effort this Sunday.”
According to Sven Sundgaard of KARE 11, Sunday’s game-time windchill temperatures will be around minus-20.
