Former Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin could miss extensive time if the reported “slight tear” of the labrum in his hip requires surgery.
As of now, the prognosis doesn’t look good, but Harvin will get a second opinion from a specialist in New York on Tuesday.
Harvin, who received a $67 million contract after being traded to Seattle, is expected to be a key piece of a very good Pete Carroll Seahawks team.
“Percy has a hip issue that he’s dealing with that came up over the summer. We’re trying to figure it out. We’re going to do everything we can to help him out, to make the right decision and take care of him in every way,” Carroll said, according Yahoo! Sports.
