Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will be returning to Winter Park in the near future, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin, who has been rehabbing an injured ankle in Florida, needs to come back to Minnesota for a physical. As far as his inclusion with the Vikings next season, Frazier says Harvin can coexist peacefully.
Meanwhile, Frazier says he’s “not worried at all” about his contract status.
In his latest column in the Pioneer Press, former Vikings star Fran Tarkenton says he was “really impressed” with Ponder over the final few weeks of the regular season. However, he notes that Ponder won’t improve unless the players around him are better.
Frazier went on to say that changes to the backup and third string quarterback positions could be discussed in upcoming personnel meetings, but as of now Joe Webb and McLeod Bethel-Thompson will be competing for the jobs.
