Percy Harvin was introduced to Seattle during a Seahawks news conference on Tuesday and the former Vikings wide receiver didn’t forget about Minnesota.
“I wanted to thank the whole Viking nation for supporting me for the four years I had there,” Harvin said. “It was great. I’m thankful for the opportunity they gave me. So I would just like to thank all the fans and the whole organization for those four years.”
Harvin also said how thrilled he was to play with Brett Favre during his time with the Vikings, but didn’t mention current quarterback Christian Ponder.
Instead, he heaped praise on Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, calling Wilson a “quarterback who wants to win.”
“I was looking for that leader and we seem to have it here,” Harvin said.
Harvin also mentioned that he and Wilson have already planned their offseason workouts.
In an interview with NFL Network Harvin said he has “nothing but love for that whole Vikings organization.” He added to that on Twitter.
