Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was held out of practice Monday — as he’s still nursing a sprained ankle. Coach Leslie Frazier says he hopes Harvin can get back on the field by Wednesday.
Wide reciever Michael Jenkins also sat out Monday’s practice with a sore foot. The problem arose after the Vikings beat Detroit. He sat out for precautionary reasons, and at this point it doesn’t look like an issue that will keep him out of Sunday’s game in Chicago.
As for running back Adrian Peterson, his left ankle is still a little sore. Frazier says the soreness won’t keep Peterson from being explosive on game days, but it does allow him to “take a break from all of the things he’s done the first 10 weeks.” In other words, his NFL-leading 1,128 rushing yards are good reason to take it easy on him during practice.
