The top-ranked Gophers women’s hockey team can break the NCAA record for longest unbeaten streak with a win at Wisconsin tonight.
Minnesota is 24-0-0 this season and has won 32 straight — an NCAA record — dating back to last season. The previous longest win streak in women’s division one hockey was 21 games.
The best part about the streak is that Minnesota’s first victory came last year against the Badgers, snapping Wisconsin’s NCAA record 32 game unbeaten streak.
If the Badgers can find hope in anything it’s that the Gophers are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games in Madison.
