The Gophers are in the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis, and they’ll tip off their action against fifth-ranked Duke on Thanksgiving afternoon. Other national powers in the tournament include No. 2 Louisville, No. 13 Missouri and No. 19 Memphis.
Trevor Mbakwe says playing Duke will be a “big opportunity” to prove themselves to the rest of the country. Rodney Williams agreed, and added that Minnesota needs to “embrace the opportunity” and forget about the name on the opponents jersey.
