After splitting their weekend series against Minnesota State-Mankato the Gophers men’s hockey team retained it’s No. 1 ranking in the USCHO and USA Today polls.
They have been ranked No. 1 for five consecutive weeks.
Coming in second in the polls was Quinnipiac. The Bobcats have an impressive 17 game unbeaten streak going.
Minnesota is off this weekend before traveling to first place St. Cloud State on the weekend of February 8.
The Huskies took three-points from North Dakota last weekend to claim the top spot in the WCHA. They can increase their lead over the Gophers against Bemidji State this weekend.
