The No. 2-ranked Gophers men’s hockey team held off Bemidji State 4-3 Saturday in Bemidji to earn a share of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s MacNaughton Cup with St. Cloud State University, the Pioneer Press reports.
The Gophers earned the co-championship since the Huskies lost 3-2 at Wisconsin Saturday, reports the St. Cloud Times.
The Huskies earned their share the title Friday with a 4-2 victory over the Badgers.
The Gophers (24-7-5, 16-7-5) will be the No. 2 seed in the WCHA playoffs and will host a first-round, best-of-three series at Mariucci Arena beginning next Friday.
SCSU (21-14-1, 18-9-1) is the top seed in the WCHA playoffs.
The Gophers are exiting the WCHA to play in the Big Ten Conference next year.

The University of Minnesota Duluth completed its final regular-season WCHA series with a weekend sweep over No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha with a 6-0 victory Saturday, the Duluth News Tribune reports.
