The Gopher women’s basketball team advanced in the Big Ten Tournament, they defeated Purdue 72-68 on Thursday night.
The Boilermakers battled back into the game in the second half, but the Gophers were able to hold them off down the stretch.
Shae Kelley scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Amanda Zahui B. posted her 22nd double-double of the season as she finished with 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds before fouling out with less than a minute to play.
Shayne Mullaney also played a big role in Minnesota’s victory, the junior scored a career high 19 points.
The Gophers (23-8) will meet up with Ohio State on Friday night, the winner will move into the semifinals.
