The Vikings must know how the Gopher men’s basketball team is feeling.
After the Gophers started 15-2 overall and cracked the AP top 25 earlier this month, the U of M has now lost five in a row after an 85-78 loss to the Maryland Terps on Saturday.
Despite leading by 7 at halftime, the Gophers were outscored 59-45 in the second half. Akeem Springs had a team-high 23 points in the loss.
Check out the margin of losses during this losing skid.
5 of the #Gophers 6 B1G losses are by 1, 2, 2, 6, & 7. Ugh.

Minnesota was still inside ESPN’s bracketology – a system that determines what teams will be inside the NCAA Tournament in March – when it was posted this week.
There are still plenty of games left to build a case for a tournament bid, and after watching the Vikings season go down the drain, you’d hate to see a similar situation with this Gophers team.
