Leslie Frazier knows who the starting quarterback for the Vikings will be when the Vikings play the Panthers following this week’s bye, but he isn’t telling just who it is.
Leslie Frazier tells us he has already made QB decision for Carolina, but won't divulge. That has to mean the obvious: MCassel.

Vikings radio play-by-play guy Paul Allen believes there is a 90-percent chance Cassel will be the starter.
Earlier Tuesday, Frazier didn’t offer up a lot of certainty about who the starting quarterback for the game against Carolina will be, even though he claimed Ponder is still No. 1 on the depth chart.
Frazier: "Christian is still injured but he is our starting quarterback"

Frazier: "I don't think our fans will be upset [If Ponder starts}. They want our team to win."
— KFAN1003 (@KFAN1003) October 1, 2013
Frazier: "It’s hard to be concrete when you know Christian is dealing with an injury, so we’ll see what happens."

This doesn’t mean Matt Cassel, who led the Vikings to a win over the Steelers in London, won’t start after this week’s bye when the Vikings host the Carolina Panthers. Ponder is still considered week-to-week with a fractured rib.
All in all, Frazier is leaving the door open for anyone to start against Carolina.
Frazier: "It's more than one ballgame, [Matt] did a good job…if we thought that Matt gave us the best chance to beat Carolina…" #Vikings

Asked if Ponder will start vs. #Panthers if healthy, Frazier hedged a bit. But definitely not ready to say Cassel is starter.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says Frazier’s job is to win games, and as long as Cassel keeps winning, it will be “hard to take the ball out of his hands.
At this point, a QB decision for the Panthers game may not come until next Friday – maybe later.
