Head coach Leslie Frazier took the podium Monday for his day-after-game press conference for what could very well be the last time.
Frazier was composed, calm, and fielded every question he received in the most professional manner possible, as has been the usual for the third-year head coach.
Among the main points to take away from the presser was Frazier naming Matt Cassel the starting quarterback for the season finale, while Christian Ponder will serve as the backup. When questioned about what Josh Freeman could’ve done this year in order to get a second look after falling flat in New York in his only start, Frazier deflected the idea that Freeman did anything wrong.
On Josh Freeman: "He did a good job of picking up things, worked hard in practice, still working hard, but we want to watch Matt play again.

Frazier also noted that middle linebacker Audie Cole, who has made the most of a second chance with the Purple after being cut earlier this season, will miss Sunday’s game against Detroit with a high ankle sprain.
Backup running back Toby Gerhart, who aggravated his hamstring injury yesterday, is a question mark heading into the contest.
As for the starting running back for Minnesota, Adrian Peterson will “need to show improvement” in order to play in the Metrodome finale.
AP was pulled in the second-half of yesterday’s 42-14 loss to Cincinnati, and Peterson stated yesterday his body isn’t responding the way he’d like.
Frazier will give his next major update on the team Wednesday.
