EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Vikings coach Leslie Frazier told reporters Monday that running back Adrian Peterson suffered a mild ankle sprain in Sunday’s win against Tennessee, but “should be fine, going forward.”
Frazier also said wide receiver Jerome Simpson wasn’t used heavily Sunday due to “weakness” in his legs. An MRI revealed his leg weakness was caused by a back issue. Simpson will undergo further testing Tuesday to determine the severity of the issue, but it isn’t believed to be serious.
As Frazier put it: “We had a big package for Jerome in this game (but) he couldn’t really push off that leg.”
