The Minnesota Wild have called up defenseman Mike Reilly from the Iowa Wild and sent defenseman Christian Folin back to Iowa to work on his game.
According to the Pioneer Press, it’s unlikely that Reilly will make his NHL debut when the Wild hosts Toronto on Thursday night, and there’s no telling how long his stay with the big club will last.
Reilly, 22, is a minus-23 in 23 games this season. Michael Russo reports that scouts say Reilly has had a difficult time transition to professional hockey, and his minus-23 rating is by far the worst in the American Hockey League.
Mike Reilly was a minus-23 in 23 AHL games. Mike Yeo said this is a chance for him to get reset and learn by watching the NHL game. #mnwild
