Erik Haula is no longer unsigned after agreeing to a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild, the team announced Sunday.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t released, but the Star Tribune reports Haula will receive $950,000 the first year (the 2015-16 season) and $1.05 million the second.
Haula had an arbitration hearing Friday, where he asked for $1.2 million, with the Wild countering with $775,000. Sunday’s agreement came before the arbitrator made a decision, the Star Tribune notes.
The 24-year-old center recorded 14 points and 32 penalty minutes in 72 games with the Wild last season. The Finn made his NHL debut in 2013-14, totaling 15 points in 46 games with Minnesota.
Now all of the Wild’s NHL restricted free agents have been re-signed, the Star Tribune reports. However, Iowa Wild players Jon Blun and Brett Bulmer remain unsigned, the paper notes.
