Eden Prairie native Nick Leddy re-signed with the Blackhawks on a two-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
“We are pleased to announce that Nick will remain a core member of our organization,” general manager Stan Bowman said in a statement. “Over the course of the past three seasons, Nick has shown continuous development and we think he will be essential to our long-term success.”
Leddy, a former Gopher defenseman, played in every game this season and helped Chicago win the Stanley Cup.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to remain in Chicago and be a part of this special group of young, experienced players on a team in a winning environment,” Leddy said in a statement.
He had six goals and 12 assists during the regular season, and two assists in 23 playoff games.
