One of the Packers’ biggest defensive threats will be back on the field to play in Saturday night’s wild card playoff game against the Vikings.
NFL.com reports that defensive back Charles Woodson has been cleared by doctors to play after missing nine consecutive games with a broken collarbone.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy made the announcement after the team’s practice Tuesday in Green Bay, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
McCarthy said that having the 36-year-old Woodson back helps the Packers with “his experience” and “play-making ability.”
