Mike Yeo says it will take “character and belief” for the Wild to keep its season alive, according to the Star Tribune.
In other words, he knows the chances are remarkably slim and they’re going to need a miracle to beat the Blackhawks, trailing the best-of-seven series 3-0.
Miracle, as defined by the dictionary: “aneffectorextraordinaryeventinthephysicalworldthatsurpasses allknownhumanornaturalpowersandisascribedtoasupernatural cause.”
In all likelihood, the Wild won’t become the fifth team in NHL history to win a series after trailing 3-0 in a best-of seven series. If they do, it’ll be because the players have the “character and belief” to come back from the dead, like Yeo says they did to keep their season alive when down-and-out in January.
It will be tough to find believers outside of the Wild’s locker room.
