According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, playing in Nashville with the Titans was Decker’s first choice. Decker’s wife, Jessie James, is a country music star and has a home in Nashville, according to Southern Living.
Decker, 30, grew up in Cold Spring, Minnesota and starred for the Gophers. His roots, however, weren’t his target. Viking Update reports that the Vikings were not a “landing spot of interest” for Decker, nor were the Vikings going to pay big money to lure him in.
In seven NFL seasons, Decker has 385 receptions for 5,253 yards and 52 touchdowns.
